| I can never forget my first day at Narconon… G.L. I can never forget my first day at Narconon. I don’t ever want to forget it because it is still on that day that makes me live every day to the fullest every minute. I had never been to a rehabilitation center this size and I was scared. This turned into a want to leave situation. I was asked by a staff member at Narconon at that time, who was then a Withdrawl Specialist (Andy) and turned out to be a good friend to me, on that day if he could run what Narconon calls a Locational Assist. This is meant to help a person locate himself in his/her present time environment. As we were doing the session I could feel myself becoming very emotional. I could hear my Grandfather telling me you will never forget the things I have given you as a little boy and here they are once more. I know in my heart he was telling me I could live once more if I gave myself this chance to see again. As we were listening to the leaves and looking at the water and feeling the wind on my face a magnificent thing happened to me: the Universe opened itself up to me and I was no longer confused about what I needed to do for myself to live and be free from self destruction ever again. I told Andy that I know exactly what I need to do to live and that is to stay here and complete the program no matter what. There were better and more wonderful things that I was missing, and my life was just going down the drain. This was the first day at Narconon and was a very big win for me and also for thousands because I now do the same thing that I fell in love with which is caring for someone I have never known or met. I got my big brother and sister through the same day after day so they can know what I got out of Narconon. Thank You. G.L.- Narconon Graduate |
